I don't understand your second question. Can you link to the page that you are trying to change? I don't understand what this means, "On the printscreen of this template"

I am sorry you need to repeat yourself.. I honestly have been trying to do this myself for the past week

I searched and found that link and that is what I meant in my post that I followed the link (which you have provided again) and changed the css (which you showed in the post from the link you just gave again I changed the css to read as follows (##whatsNew {display:block;}) But the new items are still not showing as default.

As to the bar.. excuse my english

Here is a printscreen. On all the printscreens I see in internet from this template I see a long bar going across the index page for New Products. My template only shows a short tab.

How can I change this?

I really appreciate your help, as I can fully understand how frustrating it is to keep repeating yourself.

You need this with only one hash, not two:

#whatsNew {display:block;}
