Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

I absolutely love it, have installed it on one of my sites already, and anticipate using it on another, and am using A Pink Boutique on another

One problem Im having though, I cant work out how to remove "about us" from the footer? It just keeps giving me a "cant find" page, even though I have added text in the define pages editor?

Can you help please?

I am happy that you like the design  I am sorry for the mistake! I forgot one of the template files. I will include it in a future update, but for now, upload this file to includes/extra_datafiles/about_us_filenames.php

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

ok, another query, sorry

I noticed my extra images are missing. They are definitely in the right place, and if I switch my template, they appear fine. As soon as I switch back to Alysa template, they vanish?

Do I need to edit something that Ive forgotten about in order to show my extra product images?

I don't believe that this is a problem with the template. If you look at the demo category "Big Linked" product "A Bug's Life "Multi Pak" Special 2003 Collectors Edition" you can see all of the additional images toward the bottom after the attributes:

http://www.picaflor-azul.com/free-demos/index.php?main_page=index&template_switch_id=alysa_rounded

If you can post a link I will go over to your site and take a look to see if I can help you.

Hmm.. I will have to investigate I think!

This figurine for example should have 2 further images, which show fine if I go back to original template, but disappear if I change back to the new one.

http://pewterkingdom.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16&products_id=27

There are other products, but this was the first one I noticed. Thank you so much for your help it is really very much appreciated

What other modules do you have installed? I can see image handler is not working. I also see slimbox installed but not woeking. I would recommend checking these modules to see if you have them installed correctly. That would explain why the images show in the classic template.

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

I was wondering if it could be that thats causing the problem. I installed the cart a few months ago and got sidetracked, but I will uninstall/reinstall the modules you have mentioned and try again.

Thank you for taking the time to look at the problem for me

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

Right I solved the solution of the extra images - I forgot to add the relevant module files for IH2 and fual slimbox to the new template folder

*However* it seems to work fine in Explorer, but in Google Chrome wont show the main product unless I switch slimbox off. Any ideas? :dontgetit

**edit
It appears to work in Firefox with no problems either. Ive cleared my image cache and still the same problem. I can see the product listings, its when I go into the product description/details that the main image becomes invisible...

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

Ive switched PCs and it seems to be working on here, so it must be my browser cache.

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

Hi.

I have the newest version of Zen cart installed. I have read and re-read the direction to install this template and it is not working. I have used every online tutorial and forum I can find and nothing I am doing seems to work.

I will tell you, I am a complete beginner, that is why I am using tutorials because everything is foreign to me, however i am learning :)

If anyone can help me out to install this so I can get editing and making this webstore- I would appreciate it soo much.

Thanks !!!

It would be easier to help you if you could be more specific about what is not working.

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

Hi. thanks for your reply soo fast.

Okay. As a newbie, I will try to explain the best I can.

When I use filezilla and import the INCLUDED file into my root dir, file that it is supposed to go in via all the tutorials I have followed and the INSTRUCTIONS included with this template It does not work.

It shows the files imported there, but does not compute to Zen Cart that a new template has been added.

I have only been successful once importing a template (the zencart Template2) and I wanted something different and loved this one.

I have re-installed Zen Cart aLOT and to no avail.

Thank you for any help, I hope that is clearer.

It sounds like you did not put the files in the correct place. Go to includes/templates and see if there is an alysa_rounded directory there.

Re: Alysa Rounded Template Support Thread

Actually that is quite the opposite of the problem. I was following all instructions completely 100% perfect.

As it turns out, the TOP RIGHT CORNER had a message saying

" check for updates " . I hadn't bothered because to me it is like checking for updates for anything and I was more consumed trying to figure out how to get the template imported.

So I CLICKED it last night and would you flippen believe the templates (IN THEIR CORRECTLY IMPORTED/UPLOADED FILES) were there ready to apply. It just took a quick update apparently.

So. That's all.

This does not really have anything to do with the template, this is a message in the zen cart admin that lets you know when there are updates to the zen cart. To make the updates take effect you would have to download the new version and apply the updates. But, I am happy that you got it all figured out
