Odd database connection problem

I'm having an odd database connection problem on my nephew's site (Zen Cart version 1.3.8a - link below in my sig).

If you try to get to the articles in the "History in Peril" series, you'll get a database error. All the other articles and pages seem to work correctly. Any ideas?

The config files and user/password are correct.

Are you able to access articles under the "History in Peril" series? I couldn't get to them earlier. I'll try again now.

Edit: Tried it now. The articles under "History in Peril" are still giving me a connection problem error screen.

Now I see it ...

You have some links with /nick/ in them and some without ...

The ones with /nick/ are broken ...

Do you possibly have these hard coded?

If I play with how I am getting to the Category/Product I can get valid links ...

At his request, I did something different for that category which did mean I had to hardcode some of it. He wanted those articles presented in a special way. I will look at that.
