Just a mess. Think I'll go out and buy something that works without investing half my life into it.

Have you tried the other mod (Stock By Attributes) I pointed to in your other thread ?
All parameters are being doubles in a nonsense fashion - nothing to do with language. This manual installation has really messed things up. I think that I'll have to dig out a copy of the original installation files and replace them and try to remove this mess completely. How do I stop SQL running that patch? My site is still at an experimental stage so I can re-install everything if necessary.
The amazing thing here is that there seems to be no effective way to display an item that has a choice of basic colours and sizes and to link this to stock - without it affecting every other item using basic colours and sizes. It's not stock dependent it's purely attribute dependent.
Does anyone know of a good product on the market that works for giving simple and effective choices to the client based on what is in stock? So far ZenCart can't manage that which is stunning because it is pretty fundamental.
There is no "Stock by Attributes" addon listed on the Zencart site. I've looked over the list several times - unless I'm just missing it.
OK Found it by using the search facility - I see there are a couple of different ones. I'll have a look at them but it'll take some time to rip that crap out that I already installed. Do I have to do anything to stop that SQL patch that I set running?
All the SQL patch did was add a field, so you should be OK. You can remove it using phpMyAdmin if you want.
Thanks, I'll do that.
I have a list of fields in SQL but have no idea which one was added by this silly addon. Is there anywhere I can look at a correct basic list to see what there should be? I know that the exta field should cayse no harm but i'd still like to clean it out.
