I am having a problem with customers not being able to login once they have created an account.

I have tried this myself with new email and information and get the same message when trying to login:

"Error: The Email Address was not found in our records; please try again."

However, when I try to create a new account with that email it says it is in use.

Customers are still able to place orders, and everything else seems to work fine. However, as I have downloadable products, I need for customers to be able to log back in to access downloads later.

Any ideas here? It appears to be a database error of some sort, but I am not sure what to do.
