how to get rid of monthly specials and new products?

hey guys how can i get rid of monthly specials and new products on the homepage after i just install zen cart?

Admin > Configuration > Index Listing and turn off what you don't want.

You could turn them off in the Configuration ... Index Listing ...

And, in the Configuration ... Stock ...

0 = OFF and any other value is the Sort Order of the Centerboxes in each group ...

It didn't work for me... I edited "Show New Products on empty Shopping Cart Page" to a value of "0" on Configuration/Stock and the New Products still show up on all shopping cart pages (I turned it off on "Index Listing", so it doesn't show up there.

This could be your template ...

Try a quick switch to Classic Template to see if it works ... if so, then you need to check your template ...

My Reviews and tel a friend buttons are not showing in my products page. Then the more info link has been split into two lines and i want it to be in a single line. Also My specials and Shopping cart side boxes are not showing, i have put the settings below

Left/Right Column Status: ON
Location: (Single Column ignores this setting): RIGHT
Left/Right Column Sort Order: 20
Single Column Sort Order: 30
Single Column Status: ON


but a currency side box is showing and it has the following settings...

Left/Right Column Status: ON
Location: (Single Column ignores this setting): RIGHT
Left/Right Column Sort Order: 200
Single Column Sort Order: 200
Single Column Status: ON

What could be the problem?

The buttons are activated in Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout unless your template designer has coded them out.

The Specials and Shopping Cart sideboxes don't display unless they have content, though you can change that for the Shopping Cart box in admin.

One tip - it's better to start a new thread than to add an unrelated question to an existing one.

In Admin Config Index Listing | there is setting for New Products Columns per Row, but I need to add about ten more rows to temporarily fill space on the page. Is there a setting in admin for more rows? thank you..

found it in Admin Max Values and it's called New Products Module.
