    Default Zc admin not sending new password

    Forgot Admin password. Click on "resend password". Entered email address. Sysem said "sending new password to email address".

    I never receive an email

    Have tried several times.

    I know the email address is correct because zc admin recognizes it.

    Unless you're getting an error message when the email is trying to be sent, ZC *is* sending the email.

    But ZC has no ability to do anything about the message after it hands it off to the mail-delivery service on your server.
    Sometimes those emails get lost in spam filters because they're short.

    I have to thank Hostmonster.com, my hosting company, for getting me out of a very difficult problem.

    I had tried to reset my Admin password through Zen Cart but never received an email even though I temporarily eleinited any spam or junk filters.

    I then followed the directions in the ZC tutorial on how to reset the password using the SQL feature in phpmyadmin. That did not work.

    I then called Hostmonster who sent me the password. It didn't work. They then spent about 15 minutes researching the problem and were able to provide me a new password which worked. It had to with multipe data bases.

    I would have never gotten out of this situation without their help.

    Anyway I am back in business.
