Cannot Save any changes,help?

Here is what the problem is:

When I do any changes in my zen cart admin they will not save. As long as i keep the screen open they do, and they show the changes on the website itself. BUt as soon as I LOG OFF and close the screen I go back in and the changes are gone and my website is back to the zen default.

**** I used fantastico Deluxe from my host site to import Zencart into my directory. I have also manually installed it PROPERLY, with no luck*****



A friend logged into my zen admin from their computer and made changes and they saved. They made me a test category folder to prove it, and sure enough there it was. HOwever, as soon as I logged in, changed the test folder and logged out, it was GONE & my site went back to default again.
They suggested using a diff browser, I have both newest versions of firefox & explorer and at first explorer did work...or at least it appeared to until i logged off finally and that is when the changes defaulted back to original settings.

I actually had my store complete one evening (I worked on it for 8 hours) and was ready to do a grand opening a few days later and went on the next day to find all my work gone.

I dont know what else to do. I had never made a website and this was going soo well until it wouldn't save. My husband keeps asking if there is a publish or save button I am not using and I cant seem to find one, so I do not think its that.


Any guidance or help would be appreciated. Because my friend was able to edit and it saved until I logged in, it cant be a host issue... I am using 2 different computers at home, so it cannot just be a computer issue. I'm thinking an internet problem? but why would it show the changes and then default them back after? and it isn't a security issue or anything with zen cart's files because my friend was able to edit and save just fine.

Who are you hosting with? Do you know if you're on a shared server, or hosted on a CLOUD?
