Default How to add an extra content area to the home page?

    Hi,

How to add another content area on the home page.?

Currently I use the define_main_page.php for a text panel above my products on the home page.

But I would like to add another text area below the products only on the home page.

    what are the options?

And how would it be positioned correctly.

    Thanks.

    Update,

I am trying the module editable boxes, but that appears above the products, & I only want 1 wide box.

Is there a way to clone the define_main_page.php & place it below the products?

Why not just edit the template file directly?

It's quite unclear about what *exactly* you're trying to do and why.

    Hi DrByte,

    More details..

    I am trying to have only on my home page;

1, above the main products - a jquery slider or similar

2, followed by the - main featured products

3, below featured products - a text area (maybe using jquery tabs)

I can use the define_main_page.php for above the products
but i need another similar area below the products.

Why: because I want an area to edit above & below the displayed products-
For improved design & SEO reasons to add more text.

    Hope that's a bit clearer.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Take a look at this post. Bunyip's instructions worked for my site perfectly, but others have had problems.

I have both an upper and lower define_main_page with my featured products in the middle.

    Hope this helps,
    Doug

Is there any thing elese i may need to change?

    Thanks
