Unlimited products quantity

Is there a way to tell ZC that the products quantity are unlimited? Downloadable items have no inventory and are not "in stock." I don't want to put a random quantity if I don't have to.

Also, is there a way to keep the cart from telling the customer how many are left in stock? I don't want that information on my site. Thanks.

You can tell Zencart not to track stock in Admin - Configuration - Stock.

You can remove the quantity in stock in Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout.

Thanks for the reply, but it's confusing to me. I don't see what I think I'm trying to do in Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout. I want the customer to be able to add the product to the cart.

All I want to do is have no stock value, or better, an "unlimited" value, and I don't want a "Units in Stock" to show on the products page.

I need to show or have unlimited quantities also as we are a bakery and bake to order.

I changed the stock leve to false but could not find the first mentioned. I am using the latest version but when I click on...

admin > catalog > product types > from here the only thing that shows is:

Product Types (heading)
Product - General
Product - Music
Document - General
Document - Product
Product - Free Shipping

I do not see any "edit layout."

Found how to make the needed changes. Hope this helps.

admin > configuration > stock

Here you will find the necessary stock items to change to leave products as unlimited, etc.
