After building several sites manually in GoLive and tying into Mal's cart system I realized I had to make the jump to something a bit more effective, like Zen Cart.

Used the one click install initially but after reading some of the posts here, I opted to delete that install and go with the manual install. Actually all I've been doing the past couple of days is installing manually, backing the site up, wiping the site out and restoring from the backups... then wiping it all out and starting again from scratch. Really just trying to get comfortable with the program and how to work with it more than the specifics at this point.

Bought a template from 12 Leaves as I need to move a store from GoLive to Zen Cart quickly and the template looked good. Was able to install the template pretty easily and it seems to work well so far.

Just wanted to pop in here and say hello at the outset of my Zen Cart experience, say I'm really glad I've done the manual installation(s) for the practice and familiarity and am sure I'll be back with questions. Pretty excited about it all at this point!
