Order Status Change gives 404

ok...totally weird thing going on in one of my stores (not happening in any of the other ones!).

i have 12 order status options in all of my stores. in one of them, when i change the order status to PROCESSING (4) in admin - i get a 440. doesn't happen with any of the other status!

anyone seen this before???

Assuming you are not using Downloads ...

As a test, make one more Order Status and Call it:
Not Used

This should assign it the highest value for the Order Status numbers ... look to see what that value is you will see it in the URL as the:
oID=

Go to the Configuration ... Attributes Settings ... and set the Update to this value for:

Downloads Controller Update Status Value
What orders_status resets the Download days and Max Downloads - Default is 4

Now, does this work correctly?


NOTE: this is not a complete fix, this is just a test to see if that setting is affecting things ...

yes - it looks as though that was causing an issue. i will test it as more orders come in today; i am actually using downloads, so i will make sure to test it with those as they come in as well. will re-post later today.

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

v1.3.9f on this install. most of my others have been "h'ed." version issue, maybe?

ok - did it with a buncha orders tonight; the change listed above did the trick.

HOWEVER...

i've now got status ID (13) set as "DOWNLOAD RESET" in Localization --> Order Status. i've also got Configuration --> Attribute Settings --> "What orders_status resets the Download days and Max Downloads - Default is 4" set to (13).

when i put an order into this status, i get a 404 again - and the download DOES NOT renew.

Aside: You do know that you can renew the download by clicking on it inside the order, right?

yes - i knew that, but often people download many products at once...and i'm lazy.

anyway - turns out an old INSTALL/admin/orders.php was being ever so difficult. whole problem fixed. when i replaced it. now i have to go back and figure out what i added to it that fouled it up.

thanks for the help - especially the insight into the "download renewal" action messing it all up.

The Update status was not messing it up ... something in your orders.php is causing that ... this does not happen in a clean Zen Cart, regardless of the setting used for the Update status to reset the Downloads ...

NOTE: be aware, as you are using Downloads you do want your Attribute Settings to reflect what orders_status can do loads as well as which orders_status is used to update all Downloads on an Order to be available ...
