    Default Banners...sort of, help?

Hi everyone, I would like to create a "banner" that runs either on the top of my site or above/below the top navigation bar. I would like to be able to enable/disable them as needed. It would basically be used for "need to know" information like shipping deadlines. Any advice on how I would go about doing this?

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I have been building my site for a sometime now. Im not a web designer but im trying!

Have come up with a problem with the Banner positioning.

I have set a new banner to 'header position1' hoping this would display above the navigation bar, but it displays in the main area and obviously disappears when a customer navigates away from the home page...
How can i get it right at the top of my page and static?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Neale

In my test site, setting a banner group to Header Position 1 does place it above the store body.

What happens if you switch back temporarily to the Classic template ?

Hi sorry for the late reply!!

I did that, i changed it back quickly to the classic style and the header does revert back to the very top.

So ensure which code requires editting or where to edit it!
Must have been a mistake by me somewhere down the line.

    Kind Regards
