Downloads without being logged in

Hi all!
I want to know how to use the funktions of the downloads without being logged in, ie i want to use the download restricting funktion (ex. 3 downloads only)... is this possible?

No. Zen Cart's download mechanism is geared around existing customers being logged in and thus authorized to access the downloads which *they* have purchased themselves.

Hmm... is there a way to set the store in a "all visitors aperes to be looged in mode"... what i want is that non logged in visitors shall have the logged in costumers options.

If you don't need security around your downloads, why not just post clickable links so people can download the files directly?

I come to your site to get the Download ...

How are you planning to stop me from coming back later in the day to try downloading as I am a guest ...

If you want folks to be limited on the number of Downloads on a Product you could make it a Free Product that they need to checkout with either by itself or with other Products ...

If you just want the Download available, make it a direct link, as DrByte suggested ... however there is no control over that link for the Download without you writing custom code or hiring someone to write it for you ...
