    Default completely confused!!??

    I'm using Zen Cart v1.3.7/v1.3.7
I've been using this store for a couple years, but I never have been too successful with it. I'm trying to figure out whether I need to download zen cart or not. I don't seem to be able to find a folder to place downloadable files in (ebooks). Heritage web design is my web host provider.

    We're also confused.

What exactly are you asking? You say you have a ZC store, and then ask if you should be installing ZC?

Then you go off on a tangent about downloads.

If you explain what you need in a more logical way, and in more detail, then perhaps we can assist better.

Thank you both for responding. I'm sorry for not being more exact in my wording Maybe I'm posting under the wrong subheading?
First of all I have a zc store at www.nitewalkerpreamp.com. I have had it running for a couple years, and now I'm starting to get some possible buyers for the one product in my store, a high end bass guitar tube preamp. I would like to add a few ebooks to at least pay for the maintenance fees for the website and store. I've tried everything that I can figure out to upload the ebooks, but there doesn't seem to be any place to do it. I go through the attributes controller, etc., and there is a place where I run out of options. It says I need to upload the ebooks before I can proceed. I suppose I could list the ebooks and manually send them to each buyer, but that is bothersome to me. I would rather have the store run by itself with no input from me on the ebook sales.
Who would need to contact about upgrading the zc software. The webhost?

Your webhost is probably NOT the person to attempt an upgrade - unless that host os one of the Certified Hosts.

While the procedure for upgrading is quite logical and straight-forward, it is best done by someone with knowledge and experience of zencart. The procedure can be made more "complex" if your site has a lot of add-on modules, and if you have not observed the "over-ride" rules in the past.

You could post a message in "Commercial Help Wanted". There are quite a few forum members who can help you, but they are likely to charge a fee.
