Could be the SEO addon -- it's definitely causing problems.
Try removing it.

Could also be your template -- TM templates often break many things.
Try another template.

Yes SEO add-on cause problems !!

I did disable this add-on and the 2 issues work fine (shopping cart link on image work, and detect if a option value was not selected )!!!

IMHO Ceon URI Mapping is the most stable, most flexible, and least problematic of all the SEO mods. (and yep I've tried them all including Magic SEO, Ultimate SEO, and Simple SEO)

Of all of these SEO mods, Ceon is the easiest to setup, and plays nicely with other mods, and any that don't can EASILY be excluded so that they do not misbehave.

The author Conor is the nicest guy in the world, and provides EXCELLENT support for this mod..

Please keep in mind that DrByte is right, your template may also cause issues with other modules (though clearly not in this case..) So you want to keep that in mind as you move forward with setting up your store.. TM templates are known to not play nice with other modules..
