Default Accessing 'Configuration' menu in Admin - File Permissions Error

    Hi

I've just upgraded from an older version to 1.3.9h. Shop is not going to be live for a while, just a bit of a practice!

I can log in to the admin area fine & use the majority of the menu but i cannot access anything under 'Configuration' (My Store, Min Values, Max Values etc).
Everytime i try to access it i get the following error

A file permissions error has occurred. Please check the permissions on the script and the directory it is in and try again.

Can someone advise me where i should change the permissions or check the script please??

I'm going round in circles & don't want to change permissions if i don't need to

    Big Thanks in advance

Permissions can be changed in your hosts provided file manager and in most FTP clients

Match folder settings to others and file permissions to others that you are not having issues accessing

    Thanks Kobra

I can change the permissions in FTP, i'm just not sure which ones match up to the Admin Configuration Menu.
I've changed a couple to 777 but these made no difference & so i wondered if i was missing something. Everything matches up to the original download files though, so i'm guessing its permissions but im stuck

As allowable/functional permissions are predicated by the server configuration, you can check with your host as to what they should be.

Most will set them correctly when they are transferred, so you could run a test and move a folder that contains one php file to your server using FTP, then check the folder permissons and the file permisions

Using FTP you can then set/check your ZenCart files
