    Default PaysafeCard

    Hallo,

PaySafeCard (paysafecard.com/uk) is a pre-paid card sold even in kiosks and customers could use it in order to purchase online without the need of owing any kind of cards or bank accounts.

I am interested in integrating this option of payment into my e-shop.

There is not a module for this kind of payment in Zen Cart, yet. I found out that an old module exists for OsCommerce which is dated 25 Mar 2006....

Searching the forums I have not found any reference or discussion about this method of payment.

I would appreciate your opinion or experience.

    Kind regards,
    orange_juice

    Default PaySafeCard

I sure would like to begin accepting this payment method as I deal with the EU a lot and it is popular there. Does anyone know of a module or care to develop one? Let me know how much compensation you would want.

I am looking for the same thing. It is very popular in Germany and many Germans hate credit cards so it would really help my sales there. I have found a company in India who claim they can re-write a module written for Prestashop to work with Zen Cart but they want a lot of money. Please let me know if you would be willing to purchase the module from me to help me pay for the cost.

I think I'm going to go with someone from freelancer.com. He bid less than the India company and has good reviews. I would be willing to sell copies of the completed module for $100 to help pay for the costs I incurred.

I have decided to hire a programmer to write this module for me (actually, he would just be adapting code written for other shoping carts so that it works with Zen Cart). If anyone else is interested in paysafecards for their store, please let me know. I'm hoping to sell copies of the module to help pay for what I spent. I would sell copies for $100.

    GOOD LUCK!
You'll likely have significant trouble charging that much! Maybe 1/10 that price *might* get you an occasional sale.
I think you're getting ripped off if you've got that much cost to recoup.

Thanks for the advice, but on the other hand paysafecards aren't doing squat about making their product compatible with Zen Carts and people who hire their own programmers will never get one to work for just $100. I'm not selling copies for $10 when I paid so much more than $100.

I have decided not to use paysafecard because they have asked me 10% per transaction ... moreover it is another 100 euro involved to buy the module ...

This is a lot of money!

    Kind regards,

10% is a lot. I wonder if Cash Ticket is any better. I know every time I have written the US rep, he has tried to redirect me to Cash Ticket.
Now that the module seems mostly written, I can't get him to communicate with me. I have submitted a request a the Paysafecard website, written him and left a phone message. It's been days and no response.
I need them to provide test data so we can see if the module works.
I may have to add a surcharge to help offset fees. There's also the question of currency exchange rates. I wish less Germans were allergic to credit cards, lol.
Did you find a better alternative, Orange_Juice?

and when you said 100 euros to buy it, were you talking about the price I was asking for? That was dollars. If the rep ever starts respondng, I will try asking him to pay for it. If he does, I will post it in the downloads section for free.
