Easy Populate 1.2.5.6 won't install

Hi folks
I have Zen Cart 1.3.9h up and running but I'm having problems installing Easy Populate 1.2.5.6.

The instructions just say:
1) Change the name of the "admin" directory in this package to suit your zencart installation
2) Upload all files in their respective directories.

Well, I have uploaded easypopulate.php to
/public_html/catalog/MYSECRETADMINAREA
and the other file in the installation pakcage named easypopulate.php to
/public_html/catalog/MYSECRETADMINAREA/includes/languages/english

...but nothing seems to have happened, there are no menu entries for EP under Tools or Configuration in Zen Cart

When I browse to
catalog/MYSECRETADMINAREA/easypopulate.php
the page just comes up blank, which seems odd to me, I thought it would actually show the contents of the php file.

I even tried
catalog/MYSECRETADMINAREA/easypopulate.php?lange=install
but still nothing

I tried searching the files in Notepad++ to see if there was something I was supposed to change from 'admin' to 'MYSECRETADMINAREA' but I couldn't see anything at all, EP doesn't seem to rely on knowing the correct url for the admin area. I was taking it "Change the name of the "admin" directory in this package to suit your zencart installation" just meant 'install to your admin folder', no?

I don't get it, what am I doing wrong?

Additional - just noticed something fishy... easypopulate.php local and online versions were really different sizes... I've tried to overwrite the server-side copy but they're still not the same sizes - 114,791 vs. 112,118

I'm using FileZilla FTP and I just updated it today.

.6 and .7 are known to be buggy. I'd revert back to .4 or up to .9.

Don't forget to activate any change in EZ Pop you have to remove the current version. Zencart will then ask you to install whatever "new" version you have since installed thus completing the upgrade.

Sounds like you might simply have missed that step.
