shipping charges for drop shipping items

I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer to the following situation:

I have one category that is drop shipped and want to have a flat rate shipping charge for every item in this category.

Currently I have free shipping on all orders over $30.00 but since all of these items are over $30.00 I need to add the additional shipping.

I have seen some code on the forum but cannot find anything that seems to work.

I am using the current version of Zen Cart.

I am using USPS shipping exclusively.

This gets a little complicated ...

Assuming you are using the Modules ... Order Total ... Shipping ot_shipping to control the Free Shipping on orders over $30.00 you need to customize the code where ever the:
MODULE_ORDER_TOTAL_SHIPPING_FREE_SHIPPING

is used ...

An example of the customizations for another control over this type of shipping can be found with a search on:

Thank you for the reply. I looked at the example you suggested and have an additional question.

Instead of the customer group I will need to use a category ID (which in my case is id_325). Are there any changes to the example code to make this work with the category ID?

Your code needs to test for the categories_id or master_categories_id depending on how you need to use this ...

The code I posted just tells you where all of the tests need to be done ...

You need to write the actual tests for your specific needs ...

Without actually sitting down and writing all of the code for you ... it would be difficult to tell you everything you need to do for your specific needs ...
