Daily Product - How to set it up?

Hi there,

I have a client who requires the following:
He would like to have only 1 product, which will change each day.
The product must automatically expire after 24hours when he
will then upload the new product of the day.
There should also be a countdown clock showing the time left to purchase the product.

Ideally I would like to use Zencart for this.
Is this possible in Zencart and if so, how would I go about setting it up?

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Is the product available in just one time-zone, or across muliple time-zones?

The server clock is locale dependant... I'm on the East Coast of the USA, so my "day" will start and end some 5 hours earlier than a server on the West Coast...

Good question.
It will only be available in 1 time-zone from what I understand.

Any idea if I can accomplish this in Zencart?
I was thinking, maybe if I use the Auction add-on, but bidding has to be disabled. Do you think that can work?

These can have start date/time & stop date/time

The products in the catalog > products screen is set to disabled(click the green icon) it turns red the special will show but the catalog listing will not

Might need the time offset depending what the server time is and the desired time zone for start/stop
