    Default newsletter format

    Hello

I am trying to send a newsletter, fixed in html format that contains images. The problem is that when sending the newsletter, the images don't appear, although when previewing in zencart the newsletter seems fine.

    The steps I follow are:
    1) create a newsletter in Newsletter and Product Notifications Manager
    2) copy paste the html code in Rich Text Content area
    3) click update
    4) click preview => this works
    5) click send , select group and send
    6) the newsletter is sent but the images are not shown in the email

I also have another question regarding the groups. How can I create a new mail group?

I would really appreciate any tip of yours.

    Thank you all in advance!

What are your admin > config > email options settings??

    Is mime set to on/yes?

ZenCart does not have a facility for email groups

You should consider one of the contact services as this is advertising for your business

    Thanks for your response!!

    I set :
Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails : true
& Email Admin Format? : HTML

But I still have the same problem.

    Any other ideas?

Sounds like the paths you've entered in your HTML code for those images are wrong.

Well, in a way it does ... if you make some changes to do it.
ie: create a customer-discount group, set a 0% discount, and then add a rule to the query-builder table to select only customers in that group.
There are several forum threads discussing how-to-do that.

Or, as kobra suggested, use a 3rd-party tool for your mailings ... for a fee.

mmmm... I have already tested the urls of the images and work on browser.

Is there any particular way I should write the html code in the Rich Text Conten area?

For example for the image I write

    <img src="http://www.babyselections.com/newsletters/images/fb_follow.png" alt="join us on FB" width="32" height="34" border="0" />

    Please advise ...

If that's the real HTML that's being used, then as long as the image file exists at the location specified, it should be fine.

I do note that it took about 5 minutes for your image to show up when I tried to access that image URL from my browser. Maybe it's a server slowness problem?

When you look at the raw source of the actual email received, what has changed in the HTML compared to what you sent? (yes, you can view the html text of the message content by choosing the appropriate option from your email reader application).

Is this happening in some webmail reader? or in a true email client app?
