    Default Customizing HTML color codes

I did not find the exact colors for my website background color (on the HTML color chart) so I just edited the six digit code until I got close to what I wanted.

It looks just fine in Internet Explorer.

Could I be causing problems for myself later? Version 1.3.9 Classic

The html 6 difit or RGB designations are allowed and abbout all that can be rendered in a browser BUT should cover the gamut of available colors

If you are editing the colors to look good on screen (the browser doesn't matter for that, just the computer monitor being used to view it), "web safe" colors are irrelevant. If it looks good, it is good. If you were depending on printing images viewed on screen and wanted them to look exactly the same, you would need to pay attention to web safe and print safe colors for consistency.

You might find this tool (http://www.iconico.com/download.aspx?app=ColorPic) interesting. You can use it to collect and save your site's palette.
