FCKeditor works in IE, but not in Firefox, since changing servers

I have looked high and low in this forum and can not seem to find any of the same issue I am having.. most of what I find that comes close is very outdated going back to 2007 so forgive me, if you know of a more recent thread that can help. simply point me to it and I will be on my way.


I moved zen cart store over to a new server. they had fckeditor set up and working on the old server using firefox as their browser however since the move they are not able to use it....
works fine in ie but for some reason firefox is treating browser.html as a download and downloading it to our pc's. then when it opens it is trying to find it on our pc's showing pc directory not found. etc..

I have tried many options I ran into from old threads as I mentioned above.. I even re installed the latest version of fckeditor and still no go.... as I mentioned it works fine in ie, but not ff, and yes I do have the latest version of ff as well.

can someone please shed some light in my darkness and point me to a fix.

Does anyone know what version of fckeditor works with zen cart v1.3.9f ???

current version of fckeditor I am trying is 2.6.4.1

the version I am using works in IE but in FF it wont connect to browser.html correctly instead it is downloading browser.html and then opening a local directory in ff only. I am desperate for any help.
