advanced question about modules on the home page

I would like to have the following on the home of my webpage:

1 module for the last added "new" vinyl on stock from all categories
1 module for the last added 2nd hand items on stock from all categores.

Is this possible or is it more a hard php scripting kind of thing?

I was hoping there was a plugin/mod for this. But thansk for your answer, will do some research about the cloning thing.

I've did some research on this, but i'm still not sure how to do this...

Basically i would like to have two boxes on the front/homepage, that show 2 categories.. one for all the used items, and one for all the "new" items...

Could someone help me out with this?

The supplied/default code views any item added as "new"

So there is no method to delineate what you have as "new" and "used" and this would be the first thing you would have to create/allow for before you can even think about custom center boxes

I believe you didn't checked my site because i allready have a section (subcategroies) for the new vinyl and for the second hand vinyl... or am i completely wrong?

You might have a category for used but the code still see any items added to it a a new item

The amount of codding that will be required is well beyond the forum venue

If this is critical to you, post in the commercial help wanted area and get a quote
You can then weigh the importance against the cost and make a business decision

Well i'm just a student that makes this website for the shop owner to get some free vinyl from him. Next to that i just want to learn how to set up webshops with zencart. I've added the question in the commercial help section, but more than $20 i can't pay for this tweak..
