Text attribute fee if completed

Hi all,

I have a new client who provides the option of custom engraving on their products. The site was originally designed to have a checkbox of "Add Engraving" and would add a fee if checked. The problem is that customers are able to add text to the engraving text field, but not pay the extra fee.

I see the "price by word" or "price by letter" option, but is it possible to have a set fee if the text box is used?

Hopefully I'm overlooking something simple.

What happens if you add the engraving fee to the Text Attribute where they are entering what they want engraved?

Hi Ajeh,

Sorry for the easy question... I hadn't experimented much on this as this is a live site. Adding the fee to the text box does exactly what I'm looking for.
