Shop successfully installed - admin doesnt work

Hi

I just downloaded and installed the latest version Zen Cart, which seems like a great solution for my little business. I followed every step and got the shop up going (www.newutd.no/shop), but when I tried to go to the admin area I got problems.

First it asked me to rename the folder, which I did (and also changed configure.php after changing the settings). Now, this is what I get:

I have checked through the files, but everything seems to be OK. It cant be anything wrong with the database settings because the shop is up. I just cant enter the admin area, which I renamed to "admins".

Generally, that page indicates there is a problem with the paths in the configure file(s).

When you renamed the admin folder, did you change the paths in all three places in admin/includes/configure.php ?

Numerous things wrong there.
You've added a set of DIR_FS_ADMIN and DIR_FS_CATALOG near the top, instead of editing the original lines later in the file.
And, you've somehow added "/public/admins/" instead of the correct much longer path like httpd.www/shop/admins

DrByte pointed out the problem areas in your admin configure.php file.

Without going over those files line by line, my suggestion would be to delete everything and start over with a new installation, especially since you haven't done any customizing yet.

This time, when you edit admin/includes/configure.php to change the name of your admin folder, don't do anything except changing the three instances of admin described in the tutorial to your custom folder name. Don't use Search and Replace - change each manually, and you should be OK.

I have deleted the ZenCart folder on my FTP server, but I still have to clean the database, right? How do I do that, when my DB looks like this:

Its many databases inside one database, and I dont know which tables are connected to Zen Cart.

Oy. Can't you create a new database for Zencart ? If your host only allows one, you really need to find a new host. Mine allows unlimited dbs.
