    Default EP products not showing up in store

    I have EP v.1.2.5.4 and Zen Cart v 1.3.9h

    When I try to upload a test product I get:

    Upload Results

    File uploaded.
    Temporary filename: /tmp/phpUO9G3T
    User filename: test2.txt
    Size: 2159

    Upload Complete

    ...but nothing is showing up in my store. The Wiki says "Easy Populate will show successful data uploads in green text", which I am not seeing. When I was using EP with OSCommerce I was used to seeing the script update each product on the upload page but nothing seems to be happening once the file is uploaded. (NB I have the debugging log switched on but I'm not sure how to see the log).

    Oddly, when I look in my /public_html/catalog/temp the file I have tried to upload is not there, so I don't know where else it can going? When I tried setting EP configuration to use public_html/catalog/temp/ instead of just the default temp/ EP said the directory was invalid.

    I'm confused. Seems to me like it is all installed OK, I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas please anyone?

    Also probably a permissions error in the temp file in this version. Double check and try 777 to see if that solves and then reduce permissions as much as possible.

    If your TXT file is a proper tab-delimited text file, then by locating it on your local machine (using BROWSE) before you click "Insert in DB" button, then the data will load into the database.

    If you are doing the above, and not getting a result, then the TXT file you are using is not properly formatted. EP is taking a "peek" at the file, sees that it is not formatted or configured properly, and does not "process" it.

    The problem is likely to be with your TXT file.

    I usually call my TXT files up in Emerald Editor before I run them through EP, to check for any formatting inconsistencies.
