How to approach shipping when three interelated variables are used. Just point me in the right direction.
v 1.3.9h classic
I can ship very large items 30 - 450 lbs., large scale items 12 - 75 cubic feet or bigger. They can also be different classes KD (knock down), assembled, wood, metal, cartoned, or crated.
Can not use zones as products originate from different locations.
I will be using various freight carriers, but they all have one thing in common. The tables they use include the weight, the cubes, the class, originating at zip code A and going to zip code B.
A heavy metal object KD may ship for less than an assemled wood object at half the weight because the wood has a higher risk of damage. A small heavy object may ship for the same amount as a large light object. The three factors are interelated.
I can figure the freight on an item going to a place, but how do I set it up in Zen Cart to calculate any item going to any place in the lower 48 states using these variables. Greater than and less than values comparing the variables is required.
Add on costs would apply to Alaska and Hawaii. That is seperate.
Thanks
