Default Re: Front End Pages Blank after Admin folder Rename

Is there a way I can re-create the configure.php file and give that a whirl? Do you know of a good place to start sense I can't use a file from a fresh install because this is the file created when running the zc_install?

I have checked all files across the site and I have only edited the two configure files in the last week according to two different ftp programs.

I am very willing to try anything at this point. Thanks again Kobra.

In the tutorial, it discusses error logs
If using ver 1.3.9h and may be any 1.3.9.x install they will be in your /cache dir

    What do they say?

Unfortuantally I am running v1.3.8a. I did try to install the cache system as instructed in the tutorial, but could not get it to report anything in the cache folder.

I did however check it today and there is a .sql file that was written with today's date, but when I open it there is just a couple very long lines of gibberish. If you think it would be helpful I could post that.

    Thanks again for the help.

Is there any other files besides the configure.php file that may cause the entire front end of the site to not show up. There isn't even anything when I check the source code. I am really running out of ideas here, if you can please let me know if there is anything else I can check. Thanks.

OK I finally got the cache file record to work and here was the content of the file that was written when I went to the home page of my front end.

    installerConfigKeys|a:1:{s:8:"language";s:7:"english";}logfilename|s:27:"Dec-17-2010_02-37-45-j8mTLW";installerConfigInfo|a:0:{}

I have no idea what this means. I have also tried a couple different things without any success. I have circled around and come back to where I have started. I am thinking now I may have deleted a file off of my server unintentionally. Hope this may help you diagnose my probs it possible. Thanks!

Alright so I am just going to keep posting what I am up to trying to hammer my way through this in hopes that someone out there can help.

I am still working with the configure.php file that is located in the root --> includes of my site. I am getting a completely blank page (source code and everything) when visiting the front end of my site. When I change the table prefix to nothing and refresh my page it still comes up blank, but it takes me to the 'down_for_maintenance' in the address bar, still coming up blank.

When I put my table prefix back in place my homepage comes up blank once again.

OK I did some more changing and I am still without success, but I did however get a different error in my error log. If someone can please tell me what this means:

[18-Dec-2010 21:47:32] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: file_put_contents() in /home/www/alsliquor.com/index.php on line 14

I am thinking this means I have a line messed up somewhere but am drawing a blank as where to find it.

If this is a new install and you are just beginning to edit/change things....
Try reloading/overwriting all the files from a fresh distribution of the same version that you first installed

With FTP this should be only a few drag & drop excecutions

Thanks for the reply Kobra. Unfortunately this was a store I created about 2 years ago and I was just getting around to moving the admin folder when I had this problem. I have quite a few mods done and I am a little cautious about reloading all of the core files. Is there a way to know which files may be causing my problem? I know it is probably a needle in a hay stack.
