Sub Categories jumbled on page

Using 1.3.9h classic

Have the horizontal category bar, but the sub categories do not appear as a drop down. They appear scattered across width of page. I am guessing it is a stylesheet change to width.

Can the sub categories be made to appear more like a drop down when using the horizontal format?

You need to install one of the categories dropdown mods. What you have is just the stock categories-tabs, which only shows the top cats. The subcats are the normal main-page subcat listing.

So this is found in the Admin area? I have looked in the Layout Settings, Layout Box Controller, and Categories.

Have not found this feature yet.

I'm on the wrong track.

I think I get it, I need to install a new feature/option from somewhere else?
