    Default Template Monster Templates

I am looking at getting a new template for my site and have found a decent one on template monster. I have a few questions before I pay a bunch for the template....

    1. Does anyone have any experience with them?

    2. I am running 1.3.9.. with Lightbox, Google anyalitics, etc Which files would I need to edit into order for it to work correctly with those?

    3. Benefits/negatives of using a Template Monster template?

    4. Can a template which they say is for 1.3.8 be used on 1.3.9?

This is the one I am looking at.

Are there any sites you recommend. I don't have a ton of $$$ to spend on someone good to design it I don't think.

I find that no matter what one decides upon, they invariably want to alter it....

So best to roll your own from the outset

Do not be influenced by the look or colors with these and try to picture them with your graphics.
Look for functions not bling - - bling you can add

TM Templates have a very nice look and feel to them but the problem is that after you purchase one, you then have to pay someone to properly code it to work with Zen Cart. Although this does add to the total cost of the Template, if it is one you really like and have another 300 - 500 to pay for recoding, you will get what you want.

    1. Used them for about a year now and I'm very happy with their services. All the websites are great looking in any internet browser and easy to edit. Comes with plenty of read me text to follow.

    2. Depends on your settings and layouts. Template Monster has a great live chat support for after you purchase a template.

    3. Benefits: Get great looking layouts for a small fee. Easy to use and modify. Plenty of read me text files to go through.
Negatives: Best to have them install. Banners are hard to re-create with quality that was used before.

    4. Yes! As long as your using a template with the same or older version it should work. Using a template that is rated for a higher version won't.

All and all I would recommend their services.
