UPS charges incorrect

I'm using UPS shipping by weight. As products are added into the cart, the total shipping weight is being updated and added to the cart.

However, the shipping charges are not correct. To be specific, the items are being shipped from a location about 20 miles from my house in NY state, but the shipping charges are higher to ship to my zip code than to a zip code in Ohio.

Any idea what needs to be done to resolve this?

Also, the 2.50 Handling Fee is not showing up.

The Handling Fee is added into the shipping cost not listed separately ...

Check your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... to see what your Maximum Weight and Tare Rates are ... if you do not need the Tare Rates set them to 0:0 ...

What are your settings on the UPS shipping module?

What weight are you testing?

What is the Ship From and Ship To addresses that you are testing with?

Hi,
i live in Canada, and i can't get UPS shipping to work.. Can you help me?
I did enable ups shipping, also put the tare at 0:0
but when i am trying to get a quote, it says that:
Shipping Method:
This is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order.
United Parcel Service
We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping.
Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown.

I've been trying almost everything possible.. need help!

The built in UPS ships from the US ... for anywhere else, you should look at the UPS XML add on in the Free Software Add Ons ...
