Site Gone Down need help Urgently!

Hi,

I launched my site yesterday and today it has gone down. The url is www.scottbros.com/store

The site was working fine earlier today and for no reason at all has broke. I have not made any alterations at all to cause the problem.

I have tried uploading backups of both my configure.php files to no avail. I have check my database through PHP My Admin and all products are in tact in the database.

I have opened up both configure files to check database connections and again no problems identified there.

Please help as site down and boss will be angry at down time.

The text there should be a guide, and usually this is due to no configure.php file being located

You are seeing this page for one or more reasons:

1. This is your first time using Zen Cart™ and you haven't yet completed the normal Installation procedure.
If this is the case for you, you will need to upload the "zc_install" folder using your FTP program, and then run zc_install/index.php via your browser (or reload this page to see a link to it).

2. Your /includes/configure.php and/or /admin/includes/configure.php file contains invalid path information and/or invalid database-connection information.
If you recently edited your configure.php files for any reason, or maybe moved your site to a different folder or different server, then you'll need to review and update all your settings to the correct values for your server.

the only thing i have changes was the username and password for the hosting in WHM, i have since tried changing the back to the origional user details which has not resolved the problem

The errors mentioned in the page shown are pretty much the only thing it can be. You mentioned you changed the user name for the site's control panel login. Most shared accounts add the account user name to the database name, so if the user name is foo and the database name is bar, Zencart will need foo_bar as the DB name in the configure files. Might check that.

The latest versions of WHM also have a box (pre-ticked) to change the MySQL Password at the same time as changing the cPanel Password - so the MySQL, cPanel and FTP password are all updated at the same time.

Hi,

Thanks for all the above advice, I have taken this advice onboard and have not got the site working, however the admin login is still giving me the same error. I am guessing the problem is of a similar nature but everything is terms of database connection is the same as my other config file in store/includes/configure.php

Am I missing something here?

Hi Guys,

this issue is now resolved, my hosting company fixed the problem for me. I would love to share the solution with zen cart users but I don't know what this did to rectify the problem.
