Shop size question...

For those who run or manage or have knowledge of big shops, i.e. thousands of products, thousands of customers and thousands of orders.

Does the shop start to slow down at all? Would there be any reason that as the database grows to a large size the shop started to slow down?

Can anyone share any knowledge of problems experienced by large shops so I can start to deal with them before it becomes an issue.

Just make sure that you are on a hosting service that is fast

Got my own dedicated server.

So there should be little no problem as the database grows and grows...
