    Default Images in IE8

My site looks fine in FF but when I view it in IE8, some of the images (namely the logo, banner and sidebox as well as some of my buttons) are blurry.

I know that this can be a problem in IE8, so I tried some of the troubleshooting that Microsoft suggests (such as turning off the dithering and ClearType for Html in the "Advanced Tab" of explorer). I uninstalled IH and then did a complete re-install, I tried turning off the CSS/JS Loader and uninstalling the query cache add-on. All with no effect on IE (and both are now back in place and active).

I don't have any product pics up yet, but my sub-category images are fine and I also tried to limit the size of the pictures with CSS, but that didn't work either.

I don't have access to another pc so I can't check it to see if it's just my luck or if customers are going to see the blurry images as well.

I hate explorer but have resigned myself to the fact that a significant number of potential clients will probably be using it considering my target client base.

Does anybody have any suggestions? I've spent the last few hours researching this issue via Google but have not discovered a satisfactory resolution.

    Thanks in advance,
    Crystal

I can't see any difference in the subcategory images in IE7, 8 or Firefox.

Thanks for taking the time to look

Sorry - I don't think I explained myself well enough (which is what I get for trying to work that late at night.)

The subcategory pics are fine - it's the logo, bannerOne, my sidebox, buttons and footer pics that I'm worried about.

But I was looking at it this morning and even the GeoTrust and SiteLock icons are fuzzy so I'm really starting to think that it's just a problem with IE8 on this computer.

I know - first rule of troubleshooting; make sure it isn't the equipment that you're using. I'll see if I can find someone who has anything but FF on their computer and have them check to make sure it isn't fuzzy on their end.

If you have a Windows OS, you can't avoid having IE, whether you ever use it or not.

Most of my friends don't use or even have a personal PC - they have their fancy-smancy Blackberries and Droids. And the ones that do have an actual PC have insisted that IE isn't installed (just shows how technically savvy they are. I've tried to explain that it's probably just turned off in their Control Panel but there is no arguing with them. :) or they have a Mac - which is going to come in handy when I check Safari compatibility but doesn't do me a lot of good in this situation.

I'm almost 100% sure it's just my system I've just never run into an issue with images on IE before (not that I've used it that often in the last two releases).
