Aggregate or Virtual Product?

Is the ability to create a "virtual product", that is a product that once added to the cart, actually adds two other existing products instead, already built into Zen-Cart?

I know that there already is a "linked product" feature, but this is a 1-to-1 link. I am interested in 1-to-2 such link. Is this already built into Zen-Cart? or an existing Add-On?

If not, what would it take to have such a feature?

It isn't built in, and I'm not aware of a mod that will do that, so you're probably looking at custom code.

If you could offer a little more information about what you're trying to accomplish, someone here might have a work-around.

At first, I thought of something like this:

1. Customer clicks "Add to Cart" on Product3
2. Product3 is not a real product but an alias to Product1 + Product2
3. Product1 and and Product2 are added to the cart instead of Product3
4. Some discount is automatically applied to the two products.

But then I realized that would be very confusing to the customer, to see 2 products instead of the one she added.

So I may just live with Better Together.
