ZenCart is not designed to be a "mall" scriptI am setting up a site that will allow many different sellers.
Is there an add on or module that can be added so each seller will collect their own money?

Additionally, payment gateways will only process a total transaction and will not split it up into separate entitles. What you are asking for is not technically possible. Your payments must come off a single credit card and go through one clearing account. You can then split up (manually) what each seller is due.

I understand that zencart is a single store that is why I was asking if there is any type of add on that could do what I was asking.
Just saying no would work for me.
Thank you for your reply

It should be possible from PayPal don't you think?
It might be somewhat limited but couldn't a person create a button that would have the email of the sellers paypal account embedded and when clicked as add to cart it would direct to that paypal account.
Of course buyer could only buy from that one seller at a time.
Just a thought but I will ask paypal if possible.
Thanks for your imput.
Doing it this way, a buyer would be sent to PP for every single purchase even if from the same sellert might be somewhat limited but couldn't a person create a button that would have the email of the sellers paypal account embedded and when clicked as add to cart it would direct to that paypal account.

No record of it or where to deliver in Zen Cart etc

I agree that all purchases would go through PP and I know that it would be labor intensive to operate a cart this way.
Butas an example I have 10 products and you have 10 on the same cart or site. Each of your add to cart or buy now buttons are embedded with your PP email link and same for mine.
It is clear to buyers that they can only order from one seller at a time.
Isn't it true the transaction would go to that seller?
Wouldn't that sale show in the admin area?
So if say you had a set of product id #s and I had a different set
for my products wouldn't they be followed in admin panel the same as if I was selling them all?
You would know you sold one of yours by PP email and I could email you. You could report back any ship dates and so on.
I know it is not the best way to go but couldn't it work?
PS I am checking into Malls now so I am just putting out thoughts.
We have a couple of zen shops and we like them.
Any recommended mall scripts?
Thanks for input
A Zen Cart installation can only be configured to work with one Paypal account. Any other PP buttons you added to pages would be totally outside of the ZC order flow.
Better to spend your coding time writing a script to distinguish different sellers' items and break down the records accordingly.
If you are thinking that this is a new business idea then I'm afraid you are wrong. Several companies have already done it - but with custom-coded websites of their own. Zen Cart cannot be used in this way.I am setting up a site that will allow many different sellers.
