Are hidden words OK if duplicating gif content?

Since the bots can not see any of the words in my logo/header is it OK to let them be hidden words by blending with background?

Are you saying that you want to add hidden words by editing the header image or add the words as text with same colour as the background colour?

First one is pointless as bots cannot read images and only recognise the alt tag. So why bother if no one can see tham?

Second one is a black hat technique and I would not recommended it. There is no point risking a google penalty for a few keywords in your header. You're much better of writing some original content on your pages.
