Default Moving zencart to root directory

I want to make it so that the zencart index page is my site's index page. Currently, i have an intro page which has a link that links to zencart. Everything is in 'zencart' ofcourse. How do i go about making zencart the site's index page?

I'm confused, so , what i need to specify is the location of the cache folder and not the zencart folder's content?

and my current root session directory is

    D:Hostingxxxxxxxhtmlzencart/cache

why is there no front slash in between html and zencart? html is the root folder. why? do i just delete the "zencart/" part because i just want to move it up?

Move all your Zencart folders and files to the root directory (sounds like it's public_html on your server) - a 5 second job using your FTP program.

Edit includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php (or the name of your admin directory) to remove the /zencart from the paths.

Then do step #2 in the tutorial, removing the /zencart part of the path.

Default Re: Moving zencart to root directory

I copied all the contents of zencart,
    the original address was

    D:\Hosting\5943709\html\zencart\

so the contents are now in

    D:\Hosting\5943709\html

    I edited the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

but then, the site went blank, i can't access the admin folder.

    here's my includes/configure.php

Is this a local installation ?

Are the names of those files actually dist-configure.php ?
