    Default Uploading

    I am new at this.
Thank you all for your input.
Do I set up Zen Cart first on my computer then uploaded to me host, or do I upload Zen Cart to my server then work on it to fit my needs?

    Thank you ALL

You can do it either way, but you'll need to install PHP and MySql on your local computer (or some combo program like XAMPP) to run Zencart.

I recommend starting out with Zencart installed on a remote (hosted) server.

    Thanks Stevesh for your answer.
I Have a website that is already published, if I upload the Zen Cart and when customers go to my website they will see the Zen Cart template, and not what I have on my website until I configure the Zen Cart and this might take at least 2 weeks since I just started to learn Zen Cart. I am working with xampp for windows. What you think with this additional information?

    Hi
You could install zencart on a subfolder of your site eg:
www.yoursite.com/testsite, and then when you have it the way you want it move it to the root of your site, this is how I do it when upgrading or making major changes.

Zencart isn't OS specific. The same program will run on Windows or Linux servers. Donal's idea of installing Zencart in a subdirectory of your existing site is a good one. When you have it working and want to move it to the root of your site, there's a tutorial to guide you.

I think I would read a little in the forum about GoneDaddy before using their hosting.
    A little help with colors.
