Maybe your hosting, htaccess I think is for apache, so if your hosting is not that could be the problem. Talk to the folk hosting the site.

we have fck editor on sites with Zencart 1.3.8 at the same host and its works great.
So this is not hosting related I think.

The host is running apache.

have no one else got this problem?

Yes, I am having the same problem. I also tried a current product and will not let me add an image or even a link in the description area. Does not open a box like it used to and my computer closes out FireFox.

Have you tried removing the htaccess from the server editors/htaccess to see if this makes a difference? I know it's security to have it but removing it temporarily might give you some guidance.
