Default Can't get rid of paypal

I have a set-up with Zen cart 1.3.9g. The cart was originally set-up with website payments pro - then Paypal reversed their approval of the account. So I removed website payments pro and have enabled authorize.net. I have uninstalled all the paypal modules. However, the paypal button is still showing up as an option for check out - and the logs for the test transactions are trying to use paypal instead of the authorize.net module.

I am completely stumped as to why it is still trying to use Paypal.

When I use the test card for Authorize.net to test the set-up, I am getting error #: 10527.

I have searched the forum and can't find an answer to this problem - or even anything close to a solution I can use.

    Hopefully someone can help me.

    The store installation is: http://store.gpwalsh.com/index.php?m...index&cPath=65

    Thank you.

Check the two configure.php files on the server for:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

are they both using the same database?

yes, they are both looking at the same database.

It is very confusing - because I have completely removed all the paypal modules - but when I start the checkout process it is still giving this box:
    "New Customers
Have a PayPal account? Want to pay quickly with a credit card? Use the PayPal button below to use the Express Checkout option."

    and then the paypal button.

Then, if I continue to go through the checkout process it gives me the credit card and paypal options - but what doesn't make sense to me is why the paypal option is still there.

The debug/log files show that the system is still trying to use the paypal even when "credit card" is chosen.

    Any other thoughts/suggestions?

Go to your phpMyAdmin and find your database and run the SQL:
    Code:
    SELECT * FROM configuration WHERE configuration_key LIKE '%MODULE_PAYMENT_PAYPAL%';
    Does anything come up?

    no, nothing comes up ...

but there are paypal tables in the database ...

    paypal
    paypal payment status
    paypal payment status history
    paypal session
    paypal testing

The last two are empty tables, and the first one is the archives of the paypal payments received before we had to turn off paypal website payments pro.

If it's showing PayPal on the checkout pages but your admin shows all the paypal modules as not installed, then your configure.php files are pointing to different databases.

OK, so I checked the config files again and they were NOT pointing to separate databases. But, that made me think of something else ... I had the multisite module installed - and I thought maybe that was messing with things.

So I removed/uninstalled that and now I have an even worse problem ... I can't login and can't create a new account.

I've checked the tpl_login and tpl_logout files as well as the sessions.php files and they have the session token line.

It is behaving the same on Firefox and IE, and I've cleared cache and cookies and still nothing. I'm getting the "There was a security error..." message and none of the forum threads specifically about that topic haven't helped.

Any additional insights or thoughts are much appreciated.

    Liz
