Totally stoked with zc but have to agree with some of the other comments read here about the upgrade directions being more helpful if they were more explicit, especially for newbies.
Specifically I need help with Steps 1 & 2 in deciding with files to compare in WinMerge and how to merge them properly. Step 3 looks fairly straight forward. I've read the sticky & other WinMerge posts.
- The Left = Zen Original files, The Right = backup of current files. Do I solely need to be only concerned with the files that are different (52)? What about backup files (3080 of them) that are different from the original install?
- In Step 2 it says "Simple language edits will be just a matter of copy-and-paste." Does this mean the language files from the backup can be overwrite the language files in the \zen_new (1.39h)?
- Also in step 2 it says "Programming changes to core components will be more difficult and require significant testing." Does this mean I can use WinMerge to apply customizations I have made to the from the backup file to the new file in the \zen new folder?
Any help is much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Todd
