duplicate "add selected items to cart" in product listing

If I have more than one product in a category, the category page shows both products, but there are 2 "add selected..." buttons, one above the first product image and one below the second product image. I would like to have only one.

Once I do that I would like to change the location on the page. I looked at the tutorial section and it recommends to modify the template file for that page, but either I am looking at the wrong template or it isn't in there. The view source seems to indicate that it is generated in a "form"
