Looking for shopping cart software

Zencart is ok but lots of problems, doesn't have many features.
The only easypopulate module that works was written in 2005.
There is no option to have multiple shipping locations.


I'm looking for a software shopping cart that can be installed on a server and don't have to pay monthly fees.

The only one I found is Cubecart.

Are there any other ones without having to pay an arm and a leg for them ?

What I'm looking for is the ability to ship from different locations so that a customer can choose the nearest to his address.
And also quantity on hand in different locations.
I didn't see this with zencart.

Haven't tried Cubecart v3 yes but these are the features

Cubecart v3 is free. Cubecart v4 has more features but have to pay for it.



I also found x-cart, it's $150.

I believe that you will find the others are not open source and customizing their functions can not be done.
Where as ZenCart is opensource and one can customize it to their capability or hire it done

The problem with Zencart is that if you don't know how to write php code, you have to wait until somebody develops a module you are looking for. And hopefully the module doesn't have any bugs.

For example the only easypopulate module that seems to work properly was written in 2005.

Hiring someone to do it will probably be too expensive.

I was looking at CRE Loaded PCI B2B that has an option Warehouse Zones in Locations/Taxes.

How long or how much money would it take to develop this for Zencart ?

The Db for what it does is the same - - so why fix it if it ain't broke?

Easy Populate 1.2.5.4 works but only with TAB-DELIMITED TXT files

zencartbuilder .com don't have much

Is there someone else that creates modules for Zencart ?

Lots of the regulars here do that. Look around the forum and see who seems to know what they are doing in your area of interest, then contact them.

And how much more will you have to pay someone to maintain/modify/upgrade those over the years? Everything has a cost, whether time or money.
