    Default Free With Purchase

    Hi,

    We are using 1.39h and switched from PayPal IPN to PayPal Express.

    We have always been able to offer a free kit (exact dollar amount) with minimum purchase.

    Top - Deny
    Actual free kit allowed

    So lets say visitors must spend $20 and then add the free kit to cart. When they enter coupon code it takes off the price of the free kit because that is that coupon amount.

    Now it no longer seems to be working. Each time it comes back and says that the minimum amount of $20 must be purchased even though that minimum amount is in fact in the cart.

    Could this have anything to do with PayPal Express or is there something else I should be looking at?

    Anybody know what else I can look at. This has worked for us for a very long time and now after upgrade it does not work.

    It always says:

    You must spend at least $xx.xx to redeem this coupon

    even though there is enough in the cart to work.

    The way the minimum amount works is based on what is allowed with the restrictions ... not the total of the order ...

    What settings are you using?

    A Restriction on of a minimum $27.50, and an allowed Product that is $27.50 would allow for a free checkout for that Product when only that Product is in the cart ... and just the shipping amount would be required ...

    If this is how you intend the Discount Coupon to work, then you need to check the master_categories_id of your Product and make sure that it is set correctly to see if this is causing a conflict ...

    I have a similar issue with my cart. I want to offer a coupon for a free item plus free shipping. I have created the coupon for to total amount of the two items, however the when the coupon is entered at checkout it only subtracts the cost of the item - it does not include the cost of the shipping.

    Does anyone have an idea of how to have the coupon discount both the item price and the shipping amount. I have flat rate shipping set in the shipping modules.

    My cart version is 1.3.9h.

    I have similar queston.. Ajeh please help :-)

    Just want to have the checkout select 1 of 2 FREE
    products when they spend $250 or more..

    Buy $250+ and select 1 of 2 options to recieve free
    this way it is PART of the order, as I have to manually add it now. :-(

    The only way I can offer a free product with a purchase total of a certain amount is to set the coupon amount to 1 cent with a minimum purchase amount. There now seems to be no way to require the item be added to the order before deducting the cost of that item from the total.

    I seem to remember it working requiring both the minimum purchase and adding the item to your cart in 1.38 but I've had a beer or two and slept since then.

    I'm having this same problem. I have the latest version of zen cart and have followed all the threads that I could find on this topic, followed the instructions and still get this message. What do I do? I'm waiting to open my store because I want to get this problem worked out. Thanks in advance for the help!
