I sell baked goods and not all items are shippable due to "Best By" date.

I know there are various ways to incorporate notification to customer on whether or not items can be shipped, but is there a way to setup an item that the cart will not allow the order to go through if a non-shippable item is chosen to be shipped?

I would like to be able to present:

Shippable Items = Choice of shipping & local pickup
Non-Shippable Items = Choice of local pickup only
