revise an existing product - missing content

using v1.3.9h

trying to (re-)edit a few products and put in more complete Product Names and Product Descriptions. When I go to Admin -> Catalog -> Categories/Products and go to an existing Product page (via either the product link or the green "E" button), the product info loads but the Name, Description and Model fields are blank. Is there a way to edit a product and retain the existing content in these fields?

Thank you, Ajeh! PHP is 4.4.9 so I needed to edit all of those files.

everything works well now.

Thanks for the update that the fix for older php versions than 5.2.3 worked for you ...
