left box content font size varying between ie and firefox

i have been fiddling with this for ages now and it really is driving me nuts, i am trying to get the font sizes of my left colum to match, it looks fine in firefox but ie is struggling, ive tried adding more classes etc to solve it but it doesnt seem to work. im using categories dressing and shop by price, for which categories dressing has a seperate stylesheet but shop by price is included in the main stylesheet

the font size in ie is inconsistent throughout the column and looks ridiculous! im looking for it to be around 10px or 11px to fit within my left column but each time i change it the other browser ends up looking ridiculous!

im sure it is probably staring me in the face but if someone could please offer a suggestion i would be eternally grateful!!!!!
